Matthew D Adams, MD

Matthew Adams, MDis a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist at Corewell Health – Royal Oak. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. Dr. Adams completed his fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. Adams specializes in diagnosing and treating complex rheumatic conditions in children, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. His clinical expertise is complemented by a strong commitment to advancing pediatric rheumatology through research and innovation.

Dr. Adams has co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has been actively involved in clinical research, including the oversight of studies exploring new therapies and treatment protocols. His dedication to evidence-based care ensures that his patients benefit from the most current and effective approaches in the field.
