Growing up, many members of my family — including my parents — worked in medicine. I chose to pursue a career in health care because I saw how rewarding and fulfilling it was for them. I’m glad to say I’ve been happy with my choice at every step.

While some surgeons choose a specialty, I work in general surgery because I enjoy the variety and diversity, from minimally invasive to bariatric to emergency surgery.

Whether your surgery is planned or more emergent, it’s always a significant health procedure. I take my time with patients and their families to educate on the “what” and “why” of surgery. This way, we are making the most informed and appropriate decision together.
