Akash R Sheth, MD

Akash Sheth, MD received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. He offers a wide variety of general surgical services, including but not limited to colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, colon resection, bowel surgery, removal of cysts/lipomas and mediport insertion/removal. His special interests are gallbladder surgery and hernia repairs of different types, including inguinal, umbilical, femoral, ventral and incisional hernias. He also now performs minimally-invasive, robotic-assisted surgery for hernias and gallbladders.
