Dr McDermed has been my doctor for seven years now she is very kind and understanding she never makes me feel like she's in a hurry she answers any questions I have and makes sure I understand any test or lab work that I need and why I need them

I am 77 years old and have had many PCPs in my lifetime. And I have had some great PCPs, such as Dr. Elliot. But none can compare with Dr. Alina. I feel blessed to have her as my PCP.

I like Dr. Mcdermed as a care provider. I think she’s intelligent, caring and transparent. However, a 15 minute appointment is not long enough. It’s not fair to expect a provider to adequately research your history, talk to you about your concern, physically evaluate you, educate you to have informed consent on your care plan etc. There needs to be a new model of care through all of Corewell health that brings the focus back to patient care and not corporate efficiency.
