Amanda J Stevens, DO

I pursued a career in medicine to combine my love of science with my desire to help and serve others in a meaningful way. Having worked at a youth camp, the call to pediatrics was clear. I grew up in the Big Rapids/Morley area, so I was thrilled to be able to come back and serve this community, which I love.

My desire is to practice in a patient- and family-centered way, taking the time to listen, answer questions, and partner with you in making health decisions. I want to help children thrive and to promote lifelong wellness. I also prioritize taking a preventive approach, to help all my patients avoid developing chronic disease. I believe the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected, and I value a holistic approach to health and well-being.

I love being able to develop long-term relationships with families. Watching new parents navigate parenthood and walking alongside them while offering reassurance and guidance is a true highlight. It’s also rewarding to watch kids grow and meet their milestones, while treating any illness or injury to ensure they can recover and thrive. The trust that families place in me and the chance to make a positive impact in a child’s health makes this work incredibly fulfilling.
