Growing up, I was always interested in how the human body worked. “Why does my stomach gurgle?” “How does my heart know how fast to beat?” Part of why I went into medicine was because I wanted to be part of the ongoing quest to discover more of these answers.

I strive to provide the best evidence-based medicine possible for my patients. I ground my recommendations in the latest science, advocating for treatments and approaches that have been shown to lead to good results. I also take into account what I’ve witnessed in my own experience of working with patients as well as my patients’ values and preferences.

One area of medicine I’m truly passionate about is geriatrics, or providing care to patients ages 65 and older. Geriatric patients tend to be more medically complex, and the extra challenge of diagnosing, treating, and healing patients who are experiencing multiple issues helps me become an even more skillful and effective practitioner.
