Arya Zarinsefat, MD

Dr. Zarinsefat is an abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon. He specializes in liver and kidney transplantation, living donor nephrectomy, and hepatobiliary surgery, including benign and malignant diseases.

He completed medical school at the University of Michigan, followed by his general surgery residency and abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Zarinsefat is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He believes in treating each individual with empathy, clear communication, and respect, guiding patients and their families through complex surgical journeys with both clinical excellence and human understanding. His clinical and academic interests include all facets of abdominal transplantation, along with the expansion of the donor pool through the use of normothermic and hypothermic machine perfusion.

Outside of work, he loves to spend time with his wife and two boys, play guitar and water polo, and enjoy the beauty of the great state of Michigan.
