Bhavana R Vyas, MD

Bhavana Vyas, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician that has worked in the metro Detroit area since 2000. She received her medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Gujarat, India and completed her pediatric residency in 2000 at the Henry Ford Main Hospital in Detroit. Her areas of expertise include both inpatient and outpatient care. Her inpatient specialty areas include newborn care, management of high risk deliveries, management of critically ill newborn children and adolescents, as well as providing pediatric consulting. Her expertise in outpatient care includes healthy and sick newborn care, immunizations, sports and general physicals, management of sick children and adolescents, helping families manage chronic health issues like allergies, asthma, diabetes, and ADHD. In addition, Dr. Vyas provides these families with proper health education and health resources to overcome or manage their conditions. Dr. Vyas has also provided medical care to the children and adolescents of Detroit and Warren Public Schools. During her time at these schools, she provided and supervised school physicals, sports physicals, immunizations, the treatment of chronic health issues, as well as general health treatment to children and adolescents.Dr. Vyas finds all of her areas of expertise rewarding. However, she gets the greatest satisfaction from helping new patients with their newborn and navigates them through childhood and adolescence. Dr. Vyas is no stranger to addressing questions from parents and welcomes these questions to ensure the health of their children.Dr. Vyas is married and has two children. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, yoga, and running. Dr. Vyas looks forward to building a long term relationship with her patients, as well as their parents, while sharing smiles along the way.
