Working as a physician assistant in urgent care, I provide immediate medical care for injuries and illnesses that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening.

This includes assessing patients, diagnosing issues, ordering and interpreting diagnostics like X-rays and lab tests, prescribing medications, and performing minor procedures like suturing, splinting, and wound care. Occasionally, it includes identifying when a patient has a more severe condition and referring them to another location for emergency or specialized treatment.

I enjoy working in the fast-paced world of urgent care and acting quickly to get people the care they need. It’s fulfilling to feel I’m helping as many people as possible, since this was the reason I got into medicine in the first place!
