About the Provider
It might sound cliche, but I got into psychiatry to really help people, especially kids. In my line of work, I see patients and families at their lowest points, and I want to get them back to living lives they enjoy.
One thing I try to make sure that patients and families understand is that medications cannot fix everything. In psychiatry, therapy is also needed. I can make recommendations as to what medications may be helpful, but to achieve true wholeness and lasting well-being, patients and families are also going to have to put in the work.
The work is worth it, though. Seeing a child’s face light up after a bout of depression or hearing them talk about how school is going so well after a period of time where they were struggling with focus really brings me joy.

Caitlyn is amazing! She is always interested in getting the whole picture and assists us (as parents) in providing the best care for our son. Mental/behavioral health issues are hard to deal as an adult let alone a child. We’ve been with this practice for close to 8 years now I think - Caitlyn’s been with us the longest of that time and we very much appreciate the care and support she provides.
