About Cam Gossett

About the Provider

Dr. Cam Gossett is a hip and knee specialist with a background in biomedical engineering and biomechanics. His medical journey began as a cast technician working with a hand surgeon, an experience that sparked his passion for medicine and led him to pursue orthopedics. Dr. Gossett completed his residency at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, where he developed an appreciation for the area and its community. He further enhanced his expertise in adult reconstruction through a fellowship at Brown University.

Dr. Gossett’s clinical interests are broad and include anterior primary and revision total hip arthroplasty, post-traumatic arthritis, periprosthetic fractures, and arthroplasty for fracture management. He is also focused on geriatric trauma, the evaluation and treatment of failed total joints and the application of robotics in both primary and revision total joint procedures. He has authored a textbook chapter on direct anterior acetabular revision surgery, which is forthcoming.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Gossett has a special interest in the history of orthopedics, orthopedic implants and device design. He is dedicated to the education of residents and medical students, contributing significantly to their training and development at Michigan State University College of Medicine where he is clinical faculty.

Outside of work, Dr. Gossett enjoys spending quality time with his wife, two young boys, and two dogs. He is an avid outdoorsman with interests in hiking, cycling, waterskiing, and fishing. He also enjoys spending time up north, restoring old trucks, and enjoying family moments with his four brothers.
