Carl H Wierks, MD

Dr. Wierks specializes in the treatment of hip, knee and shoulder pain in active people. His interest in hip preservation techniques, including hip arthroscopy, has set him apart as a "destination" provider in western Michigan.

Dr. Wierks completed his medical training at Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine and his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr Wierks finished his medical training with a renowned sports fellowship at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. He started his practice in western Michigan in 2010.

Dr. Wierks is a physician to the U.S. Snowboard teams, and is an avid snowboarder himself. He has also provided sideline coverage to the Baltimore Orioles baseball team and local high school and college sports teams.
