Christopher Ratnasamy, MD

Christopher Ratnasamy, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist who specializes in electrophysiology. He earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India. Dr. Ratnasamy completed pediatrics residencies at JIPMER in Pondicherry, India, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and a second fellowship in pediatric cardiac electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Before joining Spectrum Health, Dr. Ratnasamy was the director of electrophysiology and pacing at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. His clinical expertise includes treating arrhythmias in children and adults with congenital heart disease. Dr. Ratnasamy is part of the Congenital Heart Center at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, which provides comprehensive arrhythmia management including radiofrequency and cryoablation, pacemaker and defibrillator therapy as well as management of syncope.
