I got into medicine because I wanted to help people through difficult, vulnerable times in their lives. I also love the fact that our knowledge of the human body is always evolving. As a lifelong learner, this really appeals to me. Every aspect of medicine has its own nuance that I really enjoy, but I am especially passionate about orthopedics, discussing chronic conditions, and teaching.

The way that I approach medicine is to try to understand what the body is trying to tell us. That may mean performing certain tests and procedures, but it also means listening carefully to what my patients are telling me. Medicine is a collaborative process. We will work together to find out what’s wrong, consider the options, and determine the next steps forward.

Seeing my patients succeed in reaching their health goals is an amazing feeling. It is an honor to be with them on that journey.
