I already did that. I don’t want to gush! She’s a credit to Corewell Health and compared to a couple of cardiologists I dealt with a year ago (who provided the animus for me to go to U of M for future care) I’d urge you to make sure and personally thank employees like Dr. Cotter for their efforts.

Her positive personality

She listened, she educated, she took time for me to explain my health issues and she worked with me. This doesn’t always happen with Corewell doctors, I didn’t feel rushed. I felt heard.

Dr Cotter was simply the best doctor we have encountered.

Please keep appointments a reasonable amount of time. I never would have gotten the care I needed without the time to talk through my medical history and experiences. Without this background information, we wouldn’t have made connections necessary to diagnose the problem. Without this time, I would have felt frustrated and would have left the office without trust or understanding and would have looked elsewhere for services.

Gave me several over the counter options to try and didn't get frustrated when I asked if this symptom could be causing something else. She took the time to explain yes or no and options of where to go next to get those answers. She recommended a test by SLP that I was very reluctant to schedule but by the end of the visit she had made it easy to understand the reasoning for the test and what information I could get from the test and how it would give valuable information. I now feel comfortable getting this test done.

Not only was Dr. Cotter very friendly and a great listener, she was very knowledgeable. We talked about holistic approaches I could try to aid in my relief.

I will definitely see Courtney again if need be.
