About the Provider
Before becoming a certified nurse midwife (CNM), I spent 12 years as a labor and delivery nurse. As CNM, I focus on gynecologic health and family planning, as well as caring for women during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
One aspect of care that I really enjoy is coming up with a plan for each patient that I serve. Every woman is different, so every care plan is different. Health is impacted by many factors, and a good care plan takes all of them into account. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their needs and preferences, and then working together to create a plan that works for them.
When the outcome of care is what the patient wanted, it brings me joy to know that I was there to help guide them. Pregnancy and childbirth can be complex, and helping patients reach their goals at this pivotal time is extremely fulfilling for me.
