Daniel Bacal, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive general and bariatric/metabolic surgery. He graduated from Medical School as first in his class with high honors. He did his surgical residency at St Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, Michigan following up by his Minimally Invasive Fellowship in Strasbourg, France.
Dr. Bacal serves as the program director for bariatric surgery and OR director at Corewell Hospital, Dearborn. He has earned the Hour Detroit Top Docs designation for several years, and has numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and presentations in national medical conferences
He is a current member of the American College of Surgeons, SAGES, and ASMBS.
