David R Pennes, MD

Dr. Pennes graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After residency training in internal medicine at the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Dr. Pennes completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in body imaging in the Department of Radiology, University of Michigan.

Formerly, Dr. Pennes served as an instructor and assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan and acted as director of the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging in the department of Radiology. Dr. Pennes was an attending radiologist at the Methodist Hospital of Indiana and director of the Methodist Hospital Breast Center.

He has received the Editor's Recognition Award for services as a manuscript reviewer for the journal Radiology, and received the Teacher of the Year Award from the radiology technology students from Ball State University. Dr. Pennes is a member of several professional organizations including the American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Michigan State Radiological Society, the Society of Skeletal Radiology and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.

Dr. Pennes is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
