About Elizabeth A Colvin
About the Provider
Growing up in a big family, I learned quickly that I loved helping others. Once I discovered that I also loved science and problem-solving, it was clear that a career in medicine would be a natural fit.
I believe it’s important for physicians to follow the latest evidence-based research and medical studies. However, I also know that great care also requires listening to my patients and being present with them. There is information overload in our society, and it can be overwhelming and confusing for parents who simply want to do the right thing. I’m here to have open conversations with families and discuss any concerns they might have about vaccines or other treatments.
I’m especially passionate helping children and adolescents with concerns, like anxiety and depression. Studies show that there is a strong connection between the digestive system and mental health, so while these two areas of interest might seem very different, in my practice they are often interlinked.
Simple things bring me joy, like hearing a baby laugh or seeing a funny interaction between parent and their child. But my favorite part of my job is forming relationships with kids and watching them grow and develop over the years. I’m proud to be part of their journey.

Dr. Colvin handled yesterday incredibly graciously. I couldn’t have asked for better support and information while we were in the unknowns. She took the time personally to be with us and answer all my many questions and hypotheticals, that meant a lot to me. I hope everyone who is in the same position I am in has a doctor like her providing information without unnecessary fear.

She talked to my child about a “medical emergency “ that had nothing to do with my child’s condition. She worded things horribly and put my child in a panic attack and she was so scared and worried. It took an entire day to calm her. I think Dr Colvin needs some serious time in training how to talk to children, what is necessary and not to tell a child. Her sensitivity and manner was a horrible experience.

Dr. Colvin listened to and validated my concerns about our baby. She is very knowledgeable and gave us answers and different solutions we were desperately looking for but unable to find elsewhere.
