About the Provider
I’ve always loved taking care of children, from my little brother to my own children to the thousands of patients I’ve seen over the years as a physician. Pediatrics is my calling. I especially enjoy working with breastfeeding mothers, kids who were born prematurely, kids with autism spectrum disorder or anxiety, and teenagers.
In my practice, I take a shared approach to decision-making with families and parents. We all want what’s best for your child, but I recognize that parents and caregivers have the best knowledge of what works for your family, and you get to make the final decisions.
Being present in children’s lives is a gift I treasure. When I am in the room with a patient, I can put the rest of the world behind me and be truly present. I value the trust that families place in me as their child’s pediatrician. Getting to watch patients grow and thrive is the very best part of pediatrics.

Dr. Welsh is an excellent doctor who cares deeply for each of her patients, has a very special way of never making a child feel shame for a medical condition, and explaining what is happening in terms he or she can understand and answering any questions the child may have with clarifying statements. She takes parents seriously and helps connect parents to the resources we need to get the child connected to a forward course of action. She gives options for each ailment or condition that has ever occurred so the parent(s) can make an informed decision. She is an asset to our community and I feel extremely blessed that our children have her as their provider.
