I chose a career in medicine because I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body. As a general surgeon, I value being able to apply that knowledge in a hands-on way to help patients during vulnerable moments and restore their health. It’s especially rewarding to see someone come in with a problem affecting their quality of life and help them recover. I approach patient care with compassion, honesty and respect. I believe in collaborative, shared decision-making and I take the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options so patients can make informed choices.
