About Eric M Groh
About the Provider
Dr. Groh is a cum laude graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. After completing two years of cancer research he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Dr. Groh is board certified in general surgery and board certified in pediatric surgery. His postgraduate training in general surgery was completed at Indiana University. During general surgery residency he also completed a three-year research fellowship in Immunotherapy and Surgical Oncology at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute. Most recently, Dr. Groh completed his fellowship training in pediatric general and thoracic surgery at the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University, serving as Chief Resident from 2021-2022. He is currently an associate clinical professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Dr. Groh was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2017. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in cancer immunotherapy and pediatric surgery and has presented his work nationally and internationally. He is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association and the American College of Surgeons. His current research interests are congenital lung malformations and pediatric surgical oncology.
Special Interests - Pediatrics surgical oncology and pediatrics colorectal surgery. I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and our daughter doing outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. We also enjoy traveling to national parks throughout the US.
