As a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine, I see patients of all ages, from birth all the way through age 65 and beyond. I appreciate being able to work with a wide range of patients for a variety of issues, because I really enjoy teaching patients about how diseases work and how medications — when needed — may help improve their health.

When caring for patients, I always try to make myself relatable and approachable. I use language that most people can understand instead of medical jargon. I also try to partner with patients when discussing treatment options and creating care plans. My goal is for them to feel comfortable with their care.

It makes me happy to be able to help someone with a medical problem and know that the care I provided improved their quality of life.

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
