Geoffrey T Lam, MD

Geoffrey Lam, MD is a double board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. Dr. Lam earned his medical degree from John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii at Manoa, in Honolulu. He completed his residency in general surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, and his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at New York University School of Medicine in New York.

Dr. Lam's clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery for the treatment of lung cancer, mediastinal tumors, benign esophageal disease and esophageal cancer. He also specializes in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including airway and esophageal stenting, navigational bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound. His research interests include medical education, surgical simulation training and patient outcomes. He holds a clinical faculty position (Clinical Assistant Professor) at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
