I found Dr. Gennouai to be humorless, disinterested, dismissive, and, at times, hostile. These characteristics, consequently, gave me the impression that he is untrustworthy. His behavior began the second he walked in the room, before I even had a chance to speak with him about my concerns. I am not sure of the source of his immediate disdain. I was there, as a patient with existing rheumatological diagnoses, to address symptoms that continue to greatly impact my day to day functioning. He appeared determined to view me, his patient, in the least generous manner possible, despite my generally pleasant and compliant disposition throughout the appointment. His lack of compassion, or even basic respect, makes me question his suitability as a patient-facing physician. I am unable to determine if I received adequate care due to his inappropriate communication style.

The staff at the front desk were very polite and kind and compassionate. Dr. Gennaoui on the other hand, made me feel very dismissed, seemed almost frustrated when I asked questions only because I was scared, and I didn’t understand. My appointment lasted 18 minutes and I was waiting for this appointment for months, I was so excited to finally see a rheumatologist but I left crying. He wasn’t rude, but I did feel very dismissed, and I felt that he didn’t care. I also felt that he was kind of judging me. I will not be seeing him further, and I will not be recommending anybody to him because I don’t want anyone to feel the way I felt.

I feel like I am getting the best care possible.

Very good is not enough . I would say that I have had exceptional care from Dr Gennaoui.

He would be putting stuff in the computer as I was talking and I would say sorry for talking so much and he didn't even get mad or cut me off. You can tell he is a genuine human being and doctor. He will be my rheumatologist from now on. I will be recommending him to anyone who needs a rheumatologist!

He looked at my health conditions. He looked at my medication‘s. He understood why I was taking things I were taken, and he knew exactly what I needed and gave it to me, and that was such a blessing all by myself. I needed a doctor like that patient’s concerned and needs.
