About the Provider

Inga Grills, MD, is a graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her Radiation Oncology Residency at Corewell Health and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is director of the Radiation Oncology Residency program, a professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, the chief of the Thoracic section of Radiation Oncology, director of the Stereotactic Body RadioTherapy (SBRT) program, and associate director of the Gamma Knife Center. She has served as the principal investigator (PI) of more than 50 research studies, including as the PI of an international lung cancer research consortium and authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications or presentations. She serves as a faculty member for the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), and is a steering committee member for the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG/NRG). Dr. Grills is on the board of directors of the International Gamma Knife Research Foundation (IGKRF). She is co-director of a national quality registry for stereotactic radiosurgery run through ASTRO and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). Her primary areas of expertise include radiotherapeutic management of all thoracic malignancies, including lung and esophageal cancer, benign and malignant central nervous system tumors and disorders, and stereotactic radiosurgery.
