Jaclyn A Denenfeld, MD

Jaclyn Friedman, MD, is a board certified OB/GYN. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. What is your passion for the delicate care you provide? I feel strongly that the patient-physician relationship is truly that—a relationship. It is rare that women enjoy visiting their gynecologist – they often feel on edge, having to get into uncomfortable positions, and many of them (that I see) are dealing with chronic pain and long-standing issues or a new diagnosis that may be concerning for them – but I try to ensure that when my patients leave the office, they know that their concerns have been heard, that they understand their diagnosis, and *know* that we will work together to develop a treatment plan with their specific goals in mind. I love educating my patients, whether it is regarding the minimally invasive surgery I am able to offer them, or the fact that they don’t in fact need any surgery, or just teaching them about the underlying nature of their symptoms or disease. And when I can help to fully resolve my patients’ symptoms through a small-incision outpatient surgery that allows them to get back to their life quicker and pain-free, well there is nothing better than that!
