James Foote, MD, FACS, is a board-certified bariatric surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Foote earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his surgery residency and his surgical critical care fellowship through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dr. Foote's clinical interests include bariatric surgeries and intragastric balloon placement, laparoscopic ventral and inguinal hernia repair, cholecystectomy, anti-reflux surgery and upper endoscopy.
