As a nurse practitioner, I take on many of the same health care duties as a physician, including diagnosing illnesses, creating treatment plans, and prescribing medications. I love working in family medicine and being able to build long-term relationships with my patients.

There is usually more than one way to approach treatment — even for simple illnesses. In my practice, I like to talk with my patients before making any recommendations. By asking questions and listening, I’m more able to come up with plans that will work well for them and their lifestyle.

One thing that brings me joy in medicine is being able to connect with my patients. I enjoy finding ways to manage their illnesses that work for them.
