Jenna K Schwartz, PhD

As a pediatric neuropsychologist, I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with chronic medical conditions and neurological disorders. I work with children and families facing a variety of diagnoses, including epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, demyelinating disorders, congenital heart disease, and genetic conditions.

My approach to care is rooted in a combination of evidence-based practices and deep empathy. When caring for patients, I first strive to understand them in the context of their brain development, medical condition, emotional world, family system, and educational environment. Then, I work collaboratively with parents, educators, and other care team members to help children thrive and to empower family members with knowledge and strategies to improve their overall quality of life.

I’m also engaged in research to improve the neuropsychological outcomes of various complex neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. Pediatric neuropsychology sits at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, education, and advocacy — a combination that’s a perfect fit for my strengths and values.
