About Jessica L Thompson
About the Provider
Jessica Thompson, MD, FACS, is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her clinical and surgical practice focuses on both benign and malignant breast diseases. She partners with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and plastic surgeons to provide a personalized, team-based approach for each patient. She encourages patient education and empowerment to ensure comfort with decision making and takes a special interest in breast cancer research.
Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Spectrum Health in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her fellowship in breast surgical oncology at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Thompson is a clinical assistant professor in the department of surgery at Michigan State University. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
