John P Egan, III, MD

John Egan, MD, FCCP, is a board-certified physician specializing in interventional pulmonology and critical care medicine. Dr. Egan earned his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York and his interventional pulmonology fellowship at Chicago Chest Center in Elk Grove, Illinois.

His clinical interests include lung cancer, robotic bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, pleural disease, medical thoracoscopy/pleuroscopy, endoscopic surgery, 3D printed custom airway stents, subglottic and tracheal stenosis, photodynamic therapy, lung transplant, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction. 

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
