Julie A Brownell, DO

My mother and grandmother were both nurses, so I grew up listening to them talk about the patients that they helped every day. It inspired me to pursue a career in health care, and become the first physician in my family. I treat a variety of urologic conditions, but I’m especially passionate about cancer care and minimally invasive surgery.

I take a collaborative approach to care. I always start by taking the time to listen and understand where you’re coming from. Once we’re on the same page, I explain the options clearly so that we can make informed decisions together, as a team.

Building trusting relationships with my patients, empowering them with knowledge, and seeing them improve are all deeply rewarding aspects of my job. I love making a meaningful difference in my patient’s lives.
