He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Fanning earned his medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He completed his general surgery residency through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan and at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and completed his thoracic surgery residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.

    It took six weeks to get in to see a cardiologist when I got there from the cardiologist they sent me to a surgeon surgeon says you need to see a cardiologist. I don’t have an appointment for a cardiologist yet. It’s been over six weeks since we started.
