Kania G McGhee, MD

I originally planned to become a pediatrician but discovered my passion for obstetrics and gynecology during medical training. When I learned about the growing field of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, I knew I had found the perfect fit. Today, I am grateful to dedicate my practice to caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with gynecologic health concerns.

Gynecologic conditions can affect many aspects of a young person's life, including their physical health, emotional well-being, school, sports, and other activities that are important to them. I believe in listening carefully, building trusting relationships, and partnering with patients and families to develop individualized care plans. My goal is to help every patient feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to thrive.

For many patients, I am their first gynecologist. I consider it a privilege to guide them through new experiences, answer questions, and provide compassionate care in a welcoming environment. Helping young people gain confidence in understanding and managing their health is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
