Karen was kind and very thorough. She was clearly having to fill in a lot of documentation on multiple screens while we were talking. With her intense focus on working through screens to complete the process she could not maintain eye contact with me. I would recommend that Karen let the patient know up front that the complexity of the procedure demands detailed documentation that we will complete together on the call so I will be turning off my camera once we get started so we can focus on that. When the inform and Q&A process is complete, I will turn my camera back on and we can address any final questions you have before completing our call today. This allows face to face engagement with the patient at the start and end of the call, without the distraction of watching Karen work. Just an idea - again Karen was great and very thorough.
