Kathryn J DeVinney, NP

I went into nursing because I am passionate about pediatric wellness. I started as a nurse in the emergency department at Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. During that time, I developed a desire to make an impact on pediatric wellness through preventive care. That led me to obtain my doctorate in nurse practice degree in pediatric primary care.

My goal for each visit is for parents to feel supported in their journey to raise healthy children. It is my goal to walk alongside children and families as they encounter both big and small obstacles, from colds to chronic conditions. My goal for adolescents is for them to feel engaged in their own health and wellness.

I am passionate about child development and infant wellness. I enjoy helping new parents work through feeding concerns, especially as it relates to breastfeeding. I also find satisfaction in treating other common childhood health issues, such as eczema, asthma, and allergies.

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
