About Leah B Peirce

About the Provider

I became a pediatrician because I love working with kids and families, and I’ve always been drawn to the science and problem solving of medicine. Each child’s story is unique, and it’s very satisfying to help them find the best ways to grow and thrive.

I value shared decision making with parents and families. My approach is to meet families where they are, listen to their concerns, and respect their past experiences. I want families to always feel informed, supported, and confident in the choices we make together.

It gives me great joy to celebrate each milestone and success — no matter how big or small — alongside my patients, and the families that love and support them. Being a part of each child's journey, seeing their resilience, and helping them flourish is incredibly rewarding.

Our children like her and so do we. Again, we appreciate her kind, gentle, thorough approach to working with our children

I personally don’t like to leave this kind of feedback, but my 7 year old needed warts removed. The second she walked in the room I felt hesitant, there wasn’t a bright fun cheerful doctor like most doctors when they are in the pediatric field. She was very somber and a lot of awkward silence. Leah mentioned 4x in front of my child how painful it is to freeze them off. Coming from pediatric experience myself, I wish she would’ve worded this differently in front of my child. I felt like the whole process of freezing off the warts could’ve been handled so differently. My daughter was very nervous after hearing how painful it can be. She counted to 5 out loud each time it was happening, I felt like instead of counting out loud she could’ve been distracting my daughter while freezing at the same time. She would maybe do better in adult care. I don’t feel like she’s bubbly or cheerful like the other pediatricians I’ve seen in that office. I kept thinking to myself if my child was having vaccines would she proceed to mention how painful they can be 3-4 different times before even doing them? We left there with only 2 warts froze off, when my daughter had a cluster of 8. I understand it can be painful, but I also feel like it could’ve been handled so much better and we could’ve got more done had she been upbeat, distracting my daughter, asking her about school. Instead it was a dead silent room, while she counted to 5 for 15 second increments. She also kept looking at my daughter and asking her if she wanted her to be done, as if my daughter can make her own medical decisions for herself as a 7 year old. If I have to go back for more wart removals, I absolutely will not be scheduling with her.

Dr. Peirce is amazing. We are first time parents and our child spent time in the nicu. She always takes that into account and is so kind and knowledgeable

We love doctor pierce. She seems well educated, up to date on the literature, and kind. Honestly our biggest concern is that she may not stay for the long run as she seems highly qualified and I’m aware of the pay/benefits/general treatment of your staff.
