Leigh G. Seamon, DO, MPH, FACOG is board certified in both gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and her master's degree in public health with specialization in clinical investigation from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Seamon received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center (GRMERC)/Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at The Ohio State University Medical Center /Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Seamon specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for all gynecologic cancers and complex benign gynecology, as well as advanced cytoreductive surgery for gynecologic malignancies.
Dr. Seamon has published various peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters. She has received numerous local and national awards for her academic and clinical achievement.
