About Lydia K Bolen
About the Provider
As a physician assistant, my scope of practice includes taking patients’ medical histories, performing exams, and counseling patients. My certification also allows me to diagnose and treat medical issues, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications in partnership with a supervising physician.
Most of the care I provide is for patients undergoing spine surgery. I like to focus on education, so each patient can understand what is happening with their own body and can take an active role in their treatment plan. I also enjoy supporting patients through their recovery process after surgery. This usually involves an initial phase focused on pain management and gentle movement, followed by several months of rehabilitation.
I get to know my patients quite well. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing them improve from week to week and regain the ability to do things they might not have been able to for quite a while leading up to surgery.

I felt that Lydia Bolen seemed to listen to what my complaints were, and I was hoping she would make sure my concerns were being addressed. Lydia made me believe that I would be able to get the proper treatment for my lower back problems, that's affecting my legs, with weakness, control and bladder issues, because of my lower back.

I am very excited that Lydia suggested their monthly meeting where doctors and professionals get together and discuss certain cases and she said she will bring my case up at the next meeting I so much want to stand up straight again I've had two surgeries and I've been in physical rehab for 3 or 4 months now I know it's going to take time I'm hoping that there's something else out there that can help me and that maybe some other professional would give some insight sometimes I get severely depressed because I'm not my normal self anymore
