About the Provider
When I was younger, my mom went through a bit of a health scare. The comfort, education, and treatment provided by the advanced practice providers on her care team were truly inspiring and the reason I became a physician assistant.
During appointments, I strive to create a safe, judgement-free zone for my patients to share their medical concerns. No one knows your body better than you. Quite often, something a patient says to me ends up being the key to discovering the correct diagnosis. I also provide as much education as possible, as I believe the more people know and understand about their medical conditions, the more likely they are to follow through with treatment and follow up.
One of the things I love best about outpatient family medicine is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with my patients. We are your cheerleaders, and when those follow-up appointments show improved blood pressure or glucose, we are right there to celebrate with you.
