Maria S Swetech, DO

Maria Swetech, DO is a family medicine physician who grew up in Clinton Township, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Dr. Maria is a clinical assistant professor with the Family and Community Medicine Department at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Family Medicine Department at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine by both The American Board of Family Medicine and The American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Maria is also on staff at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital.

Dr. Maria Swetech emphasizes a holistic approach to medicine and regularly includes preventive care in her treatment plans. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. In addition to classic family medicine training, she received additional training in dermatologic procedures, women’s health, and pediatrics.

Dr. Swetech speaks Macedonian. She loves to cook and specifically focuses on creating healthy, nutritious dishes. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys cardio kickboxing, pickleball, swimming, tennis, and yoga, as well as traveling and exploring her home state of Michigan.

Dr. Maria Swetech was also voted the Best Family Medicine Physician in Metro Detroit for the Detroit Free Press Community Choice Awards.
