I wish she could show a little more empathy for her patients. We are in pain and anxious about what procedures we are looking at for care and feeling better. Not being able to walk because of pain affects a person’s quality of life. I don’t want to feel that I am wasting her time. I want to feel that the person I have come to really cares about me personally. I’m not just another number.

We especially appreciate the LONG-TERM solution (possible surgery) vs continuing to put "bandaids" on the problem (going to a wound doctor).

She has the winning combination of truly caring about me as her patient while listening to my concerns along with the knowledge and expertise to answer my questions and set up a plan to address my concerns.

I had multiple questions on both feet (so annoying to have bad feet). I only felt like Dr. Stawiski was hurried cause we had to rush through my last questions. I almost felt when I made the appt the day before I probably needed to give every single issue to the scheduler to record because it felt like Dr. Stawiski didn’t have those last few minutes for me and wasn’t expecting me to ask about additional foot issues above what I indicated to the scheduler the day before. I don’t take this as Dr. Stawiski’s fault, but it makes me ponder if Corewell is so focused on the money machine and maximizing patient count per hour, has it truly lost the passion of what it is supposed to provide? Has Corewell created an environment for its healthcare professionals to be rushed to “get to the next appointment” (not the human - the patient) so much to meet a profit quota or criteria? I have heard from numerous West Michiganders and personally experienced the change this mega profit-hungry hospital corporation has made. It’s sad and Corewell’s reputation has been impacted negatively. So different from the Butterworth days when all my family’s care took place there - including me giving birth to 2 beautiful sets of twins by Dr. Steve Rechner :-). Honestly, if I wasn’t an established patient at with Dr. Stawiski it is unlikely I would come to it since it has lost the focus of patient care being number one. This is no reflection on Dr. Stawiski, but Corewell the corporation. :-( Again, I was very happy with how I was greeted and how I was treated from the front door, to x-ray, to the foot department (M.A., nurse, Dr. Stawiski), but I believe it is crucial for the corporation to take a hard look at where, when, and how it changed from patient care to a money machine and I hope you value me taking this time to candidly share my thoughts and feelings. Does Corewell want to improve? Or is it all about the money?

She seemed very good and I would go to her again. It was not her fault that the particular treatment only helped for two days. I do think all doctors and staff should wear masks.

She appeared to be annoyed that she had to see me. Yes, there were notes in the system as to how my injury happened, but she never asked any questions, nor did she ask how I was feeling, getting around on the crutches, or basically anything. I had been referred by urgent care, with a broken bone in my foot. I came in with a ortho boot, again, provided by urgent care. I was told to remove the boot prior to provider coming in the room. Once she came in, she wrapped my foot in ace bandage, and advised to continue wearing boot full-time until next appointment in 4 weeks, and left (along with other minimal discussion). I would have thought that someone would have checked to see that I was wearing the boot correctly (correct tightness, etc.), and/or made sure that I was using crutches correctly? I was left in the treatment room to put the boot back on myself and find my own way out down the hall. I (myself or immediate family members) have seen many other Corewell providers, even at this very location, that I have been very happy with. If I needed to be seen more than one or two more times for this injury, I would not be returning to this provider.

Kind, answered questions I had, but spent 10minutes (approximately) with me, trimming 1 toenail . Did the ‘routine’ diabetic feet check but I was expecting a little more care to other areas addressed (heels)

She suggested I see how the injection makes me feel and see whether or not to make another injection appt. She wasn't pushy.

Dr Stawiski was prompt with my appointment. She listened to my concerns, offered a treatment plan based on xray and assessment, and explained in detail the issues with my feet.

I already mentioned that I felt like I was rushed and that my questions were annoying. I’m glad I persisted because I had misunderstood a direction. I have four college degrees and am a speech language pathologist so I am no dumby. Bedside manner needs improvement.

Fracturing my ankle has been very challenging, but it was comforting to know I could send a message and receive a reply very promptly.
