I knew I wanted to into medicine at a young age. I still remember sitting in my pediatrician’s office and thinking to myself, “This is what I want to do when I grow up. I want to help people feel better.”

At first, I didn’t know what I wanted to specialize in. But I decided on women’s health after falling in love with it during one of my clinical rotations. I loved how I could educate women of all ages, and I felt I had a lot to offer. I especially enjoy helping women develop a better understanding of their bodies and turn a not-so-great experience into a positive one.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to care. Everyone has their own needs, and everyone responds to situations in different ways. I try to approach each patient interaction with this in mind. I encourage my patients to advocate for themselves and ask lots of questions. It’s always super fulfilling to help someone feel empowered to make the best possible health care choices for themselves, and feel good about it.
