Maximiliano A Tamae Kakazu, MD

Maximiliano A. Tamae Kakazu, MD, is board-certified in pulmonary, critical care and internal medicine. After earning his medical degree from National University of Rosario in Argentina, Dr. Tamae Kakazu completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. He also completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Tamae Kakazu is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

His clinical interests are COPD/asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, sleep disorders and narcolepsy.

Dr. Tamae Kakazu is fluent in Spanish.
