I’ve wanted to be a doctor ever since I was a young child. My father was a small-town podiatrist, and I tagged along on a lot of house calls. I loved watching how he interacted with his patients and helped them feel more comfortable. By kindergarten career day, my mind was made up — and I haven’t looked back since.

As a developmental-behavioral pediatrician, my goal is to form a positive, encouraging partnership with kids and families as we work together to overcome challenges. I always take time to make sure families understand the diagnosis and all the evidence-based treatment options so they can make the best possible decisions about their child’s care. I am especially passionate about helping kids with autism, learning concerns, and congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV), as well as promoting and supporting the mental health of parents and caregivers.

Watching kids grow up and seeing their personalities develop over time is truly special. I love getting to know the families I work with and celebrating with them as they learn, grown, and meet developmental milestones. 

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
