Melissa S Bayne, DO

My mother was my inspiration to pursue a health care career. She was a women’s health nurse, and I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I also had a bad arm injury as a teenager, and my positive experiences with the doctors who cared for me gave me even more motivation to pursue medicine.

I provide obstetrics and gynecology care, and I’m especially passionate about preventive wellness and caring for women going through menopause. My approach is based on listening to my patients so that I can recommend evidence-based care that truly meets your unique goals. Getting to and staying in a place of wellness looks different for everyone, so we need to be open to using a variety of methods to help with that journey.

It is such a privilege to care for others, from babies taking their first breaths to women trying to regain their health. Being able to improve the lives of my patients is an honor I do not take for granted.

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
