About the Provider

Michael Bonnette, MD was born and raised in Metro-Detroit. He attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree where he met his wife. He was a member of the charter class of Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He then traveled to St. Louis for residency training at Washington University for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Here cultivated his passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and interventional approaches to managing pain and optimizing recovery. He was elected Chief Resident during his final year of residency. He then accepted a fellowship position at the University of Michigan for Interventional Pain Management.Dr. Bonnette feels that recovery requires a team approach which includes physicians, therapists, and trainers with the patient at the core. Dr. Bonnette believes a comprehensive regimen of rehabilitation, interventional procedures, and regenerative medicine is the best way to return to an active lifestyle and avoid chronic medication use and invasive surgeries.
