Michael J. Gallagher, MD, FACC is the Program Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at William Beaumont University Hospital Royal Oak, the Medical Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging at Corewell Health East, and a Professor of Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Dr. Gallagher is a non-invasive cardiologist who specializes in advanced cardiac imaging. He is the past president of the Michigan Society of Echocardiography and the past chair of the Michigan American College of Cardiology education task force. He is actively involved in education and committees at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he has an academic appointment as Professor of Medicine. His clinical research interests include multi-modality cardiovascular imaging, the evaluation of emergency department patients with acute chest pain, the optimal use of Cardiac CT/FFR-CT, and atherosclerotic plaque quantification. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and lectures nationally on multiple cardiology and imaging related topics.
Dr. Gallagher received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1997. He completed an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Michigan State University’s Grand Rapids campus, followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Advanced Cardiac Imaging at William Beaumont University Hospital. Dr. Gallagher is a cardiologist certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the Certification Boards of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He joined the Corewell medical staff in 2006.

I feel like my concerns were blown off. I’m worried because sudden death is in my family history. I’m also worried because if I have my heart rate go too high and pass out, the casket I’m carrying will fall taking my coworkers with them. I can’t handle something happening to my coworkers/my client when it could’ve been prevented.
