Michael T Fry, MD

Michael Fry, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports-related musculoskeletal injuries. His clinical expertise includes minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the knee, shoulder, and hip. He also treats a wide variety of general orthopedic conditions, such as fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, and arthritis.

A Michigan native, Dr. Fry graduated from Rochester Adams High School and then earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He returned to Michigan for an orthopedic surgery residency at Ascension Providence, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at UCLA, where he served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks, and UCLA football team.

Dr. Fry understands the unique demands and concerns faced by athletes at all levels of participation, and he understands the importance of being active at all stages of life. Dr. Fry and his team are focused on providing highly, individualized, patient-centered care. Using evidence-based medicine, his goal is to return patients back to the activities that they love.
